Hello

I am a photography student currently studying for a BA Hons Degree in Fine Art Photography.

Photography for me started as a hobby when I was younger constantly buying disposable cameras and having one with me at all times to take photographs of my friends and activities I would participate in.

As I got older I started to compete my horses and I would always leave the shows with a photograph from the event photographer almost as a souvenir from taking part in that particular show.  With technology improving I was bought my first digital camera and was able to happily click away all day long and I could capture more behind the scenes when we were at the shows.

After I left school I studied horses but in my second year I encountered a bad fall and lost my confidence and so I took a step back onto the sideline and picked up my camera again, this time more seriously. At that moment I realised horses were my hobby and photography was something I want to continue with.

I do not believe I fall into a particular category within photography as I am still exploring and developing ideas.

My photography is often a reflection of an event happening in my life at that particular moment and so it is very personal to me.  I see photography as a way I can capture these moments in time to keep the memory forever, good or bad.

I have found the following quote very inspiring recently.

My work is not about me, It starts with me.” - Tracy Emin.

I enjoy what I produce and I hope you do too.
